Lee Raspberry
Founding Director
A 14 year Army Infantry veteran, Lee is familiar with the life altering injuries that our Wounded Warfighters began returning home with during OIF.
Seeing a need and having the resources to host hunting trips, Lee began Texas Hero Hunts in 2006. Since then, the organization has hosted more than 80 trips, at no cost to our Heroes.

Jimmie Carter
Executive Director
Jimmie's experience with managing all aspects of the hunting operation, is what truly make for a memorable and successful experience for our Heroes. His dedication to our hunters, along with his background, prove invaluable when it comes to making sure THH delivers a first-class experience.
From ensuring our hunters are offered quality animals, to preparing some of the best deer camp meals you will ever have, Jimmie's contribution to the organization is always a memorable one.

Stephen Upton
Director of Operations
After retiring from the USAF in 2022, Stephen went on to work as a private contractor in Iraq until he retaired again in 2025.
Stephen has a passion for hunting and fishing, as well as serving others. He understands the healing powers of the outdoors and how it strengthens one's spirit.
Stephen is married with three children, who are at the center of everything he does.

Laura Raspberry
Director of Communications
Lee's wife Laura grew up in the outdoors, spending her time on large working cattle ranches, she worked right along side the ranch hands, most of the time from horseback.
From a young age, she was an avid hunter and outdoorswoman often harvesting game animals to feed her family.
Laura's believes God has led her to be a Servant Leader by helping at-risk youth and giving of her time to veterans and first responders.
